CRAVE

Vidalia FUMC Youth Ministry

Youth Gathering is each Sunday 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in Activity Center. Sixth through Twelfth grade gather for a time of praise & worship, food, sharing, planning and inspiration.  However, 6th through 8th grade split from 9th through 12th grade during this time so that Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers can focus on matters that pertain to their own age group.

Coming Up

Sunday, September 5 – No Crave Youth

Wednesday, September 8 – Small Group Fellowships 6-7:15 PM. We will begin the “One Month to Live” Bible Study

In his heart a man plans his course; but the Lord determines his steps. Proverbs 16:9

In youth ministry there are ups and downs; joyous moments and ones that make you want to quit it all. Nothing is ever sure or constant. However, one thing I do know is that God has a sovereign plan. Even in the middle of a seemingly bad situation He will work all things for the good and for His purpose. Like us, some kids are going to seek God with all they have and walk in His ways and make decisions that please him; while others will take the wide road and learn the hard way that God’s way is better. Regardless, God can bring redemption and make things right again. I covet your prayers for these precious ones who are making the decision everyday to be a part of what God has for them or to be a part of what “they” have planned. Pray for the wisdom to know the difference.

YOUTH & CHILDREN’S CHOIRS

It’s time for our choir programs to resume! I hope you are missing our children singing in worship as much as I am! Our first choir practices will resume the Sunday (Sept. 12th) after Labor Day weekend for Youth Choir from 3:30-4:30, and Monday (Sept. 13th) for all the Children’s Choirs.  Sign up sheets will be in the office and narthex from now until Choirs resume.  Please sign up early!

Recycle Printer Cartridges

Wondering what to do with your old printer cartridges?  Why not put it to good use?  We are now collecting empty printer cartridges for recycling.  Used printer cartridges contain lead and cadmium, which can pollute the air when burned in incinerators or leak into soil and drinking water when buried in landfills.  We have found a company that will help protect our environment and help our church ministries by actually buying these printer cartridges from us.  So please support our environment and our church by putting your printer cartridges in their proper receptacles which can be found in the church office.
