Jose Caraballo, Minister of Discipleship

Jose was born and raised in Hinesville, GA. His mother played a big role in leading him to Christ. Jose graduated from Bradwell Institue in 1997. He accepted a scholarship to play soccer at Brewton-Parker College where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Fitness and Wellness Studies in 2001. Jose met his wife Julie at the end of his senior year. They were married in August of 2002. Jose and Julie had their first child, Zoe, in March of 2009.

Jose first joined the church staff in January of 2002 as the Director of Programs & Youth. Jose and Julie worked side-by-side in ministry at Vidalia FUMC for 5 ½ years. In 2007, Jose and Julie moved to St. Mary’s, GA for a year. They returned to Vidalia in the summer of 2008, at which time Jose worked as the Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Brewton-Parker College. Jose spent 2 years coaching collegiately. In January of 2010, Jose felt led to come back on staff at Vidalia FUMC as the Minister of Discipleship. Jose is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity at Asbury Theological Seminary.
